Subject: Timeshock, Addiction (Performance!)
Hello!Well last weekend I saw a friend's new computer (Pentium II 266, overclocked to 400 Mhz) with an AGP card, 32MB), and I can say that the two games runs VERY smoothly at high resolutions with all the good things enabled, but I am not planning to buy such A computer for only the pinball tables... I rather would buy an VOODOO 2 card for all my other (heavy graphics) games.. ;), It would be nice if the Pinball games would support Direct3D, then everyone with a 125$ voodoo1-card could play them at the smootests graphic-resolutions... I can say that Addiction pinball (which only runs under Win95) does NOT run smooth at all (the balls are stuttering pffff) on my K6-233, 64MB 10ns RAM, S3 Virge 4MB at 800x600 with the sound at 44Khz stereo etc.... but Timeshock runs VERY smooth at the same config but THEN under DOS... Well that was what I had to say! ;)) Regards, Sander Verweij..
